On our second and first full day in Nepal, we began our day by traveling to the Vishal Group office, a 15-minute journey from our hotel. The streets were bustling with life as people rushed about dodging through traffic on their motorbikes. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two familiar faces from Vishal Group Foundation, Rahul and Kunal. Following a brief tour of the office for the new members of our team, we gathered in the conference room, where everyone briefly introduced themselves, and we planned out the week ahead.

Upon concluding our meeting, we made our way to Mantra Thakali Restaurant to enjoy some local cuisine. The vibrant smell of Nepali spices greeted us as we entered the small rustic restaurant. Thakali is a traditional Nepalese dish that features a bowl of rice accompanied by a variety of condiments and side dishes, including lentils, pickles, curried vegetables, and meat. The flavors were rich and hearty, offering a balanced combination of spicy, tangy, and savory tastes.
With our spirits lifted and our stomachs full, we made our way to Life-Vision Academy, eager to see the impact of the Nepal 2024 project firsthand. Upon arrival, we touched base with the headmistress, who shared stories of how the computer lab, built as part of last year's project, had made a significant difference in the students' learning experiences.
In addition to meeting with the school staff, we also spent time interacting with the students, who greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm while shooting a flurry of questions at us. While at the school, we took the opportunity to set up a new projector and update the operating systems on the existing computers, making sure everything was running smoothly, along with general maintenance on the lab. As our team went about completing our tasks, many of the students gathered in the room, staring at us with a sense of curiosity and determination to seize this as an opportunity to learn and help out.

After saying goodbye to the students and staff at Life-Vision Academy, we returned back to our hotel, where we began preparations for the next day: Building a new computer lab at the Chandi Devi School in Karyabinayak, Kathmandu, as part of our Nepal 2025 project!
